Burgundy Dinner Launceston

You are invited to an en primeur tasting of twelve, 2017 Cote de Nuits Burgundies in both Launceston (31st May) and Hobart (1st June). The tastings will include seven Premier Cru wines.

Following the tasting attendees are invited to a dinner where five older vintages of the wines, including Premier Cru, will be showcased. This is a rare opportunity to taste the current releases and then taste some older vintages of the wines with a selected menu. We have flown the 2017 wines from France just for the tastings and as such, numbers are limited to 20 seats.

David Johnstone and Steve Goodwin, both of whom have tasted and been buying Burgundies for many years, will be leading the tastings. Steve has a long history in the Australian wine industry, as a wine maker. He was wine maker at Baileys of Glenrowan, chief sparkling wine maker at Seppelt Great Western and ended his career at Witchmount winery. In 2006, Steve won the best Shiraz in the world at the Syrah du Monde wine competition in France, with his 2004 Witchmount Estate Shiraz.
